Novak Djokovic is not backing down on his vaccination stance.

The Tennis superstar announced that he will not be taking the COVID-19 vaccine under any circumstances, and will not participate in the upcoming French Open and Wimbledon tournaments if they have vaccine requirements.

“Everyone has the right to choose, to act, or say what ever they feel is appropriate for them…the freedom to choose what you put into your body. And, for me, that is essential.” said Djokovic.

“I am trying to be in tune with my body as much as I possibly can…Based on all the information that I got, I decided not to take the vaccine, as of today”

Regarding the decision to potentially miss out on the two upcoming Grand Slams, he emphasized that it is “the price that I am willing to pay”.

Djokovic recently missed out on the Australian Open after a whole controversy surrounding his vaccine status that made headlines outside the tennis world. To make matters worse, his rival Rafael Nadal won the tournament and surpassed him on the list of all-time Grand Slam singles titles at 21.
