Well that didn’t last long…

Just days after their disappointing 3-0 loss to Manchester United in front of a very upset home crowd, Tottenham Hotspur have decided to relieve manager Nuno Espirito Santo of his duties.

“I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision,” said Tottenham managing director Fabio Paratici.

“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”

Santo, 47, was hired as their new manager back in June and a lot was expected of him heading into the 2021/22 season. As it turns out, his tenure only lasted a total of 10 matches.

Tottenham have lost five of ten so far and currently sit 8th place in Premier League standings.
