Kyrie Irving to undergo right shoulder surgery, out for season

Brooklyn Nets fans can definitely start looking to next year, because this season is now a wash.

The team announced that star point guard Kyrie Irving will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his injured right shoulder on Tuesday. He is expected to fully recover, and be ready in time for training camp next season.

Irving, who signed a four-year, $142 million contract, appeared in just 20 games this season, averaging 27.4 points, 6.4 assists and 5.2 rebounds during the span.
