The Chicago Bulls continue making moves!

The team has further bolstered their depth by bringing in a quality scorer that will help take the offensive load off the likes of Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. They have finalized a sign-and-trade deal with the Spurs to acquire DeMar DeRozan and then lock him in to a three-year, $85 million contract extension.

As part of the deal, they have sent veteran forwards Thaddeus Young, Al-Farouq Aminu and a future first-round pick, a 2022 second-round pick via the Lakers and the Bulls’ own 2025 second-round pick to San Antonio.

“I want to take the time to thank the Spurs organization and the fans in San Antonio for embracing me the way that they have over the past 3 seasons,” wrote DeRozan on his Instagram account.

“The Spurs lived up to their reputation as one of the classiest organizations in the league during my time with the team.

DeRozan, 31, is a four-time NBA All-Star and has averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists over a span of 12 seasons and 881 games split between the Toronto Raptors and Spurs.
