The Chicago White Sox have bolstered their starting rotation in a big way.

The team announced that they have acquired right-hander Lance Lynn from the Texas Rangers in exchange for rookie starter Dane Dunning, and lefty prospect Avery Weems.

Lynn, 33, posted a 6-3 record with a 3.32 ERA, and 1.06 WHIP in 13 starts during the pandemic shortened 2020 campaign. He also put up impressive numbers the previous season: sporting a 16-11 record, 3.67 ERA to go along with 246 strikeouts and just 59 walks over a span of 33 starts and 208.1 innings pitched.

The nine-year MLB veteran has a year remaining on his three-year, $30 million contract before he eligible for unrestricted free agency.

A top 3 of Lynn, Dallas Keuchel, and Lucas Giolito makes the White Sox rotation among the most dangerous in the American League.
