Looks like we are going another year without IndyCar racing in Canada.

Honda Indy Toronto, which was scheduled to take place from July 9-11 at Exhibition Place, confirmed that the annual race is cancelled for the second time due to the state of the coronavirus pandemic in the province of Ontario.

“Of course, we are all disappointed in this outcome. Our team greatly appreciates the incredible fans, participants, volunteers, media and dedicated partners who have supported us as we all navigate these unusual and uncertain days,” said organizers in a statement.

The Honda Indy Toronto hasn’t occurred since the summer of 2019. French driver Simon Pagenaud ended up in first place.
