It looks like the USA hockey program has found Stan Bowman’s replacement as General Manager for the U.S. men’s hockey team for the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

According to reports, Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin is expected to take over the USA GM duties moving forward.

Guerin, 50, was initially appointed as Assistant GM under Stan Bowman. But due to Bowman’s role in covering up the 2010 Chicago Blackhawks sexual assault scandal, he decided to step down from the position. It left an opening just months away from the games, and Guerin has ultimately decided to accept the responsibilities.

He previously represented the United States as a player in the 1998, 2002 and 2006 Olympic Games.
