We’ve got an All-American showdown at the 2017 U.S. Open final.

On Thursday, 16th ranked Madison Keys defeated Coco Vandeweghe with ease in two sets (6-2, 6-1) to reach the final in a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in her career.

In the other match, the unseeded 24-year old Sloane Stephens earned herself a hard-fought victory over veteran Venus Williams (6-1 0-6 7-5) to advance to the U.S. Open final.

This marks the first time two American players will face each other in the U.S. Open final since Serena Williams beat sister Venus in straight sets back in 2002.

Don’t expect any bad blood between these two up-and-comers, because apparently they have developed quite the friendship with one another over the years.

“Maddy is probably my closest friend on the tour…I love her to death.” said Stephens about U.S. Open final opponent Keys.

The final will take place at 4:00pm/ET on Saturday at the legendary Arthur Ashe stadium.
